Wilston Grange has a team in the QWAFL – the top league of Women’s Football in Queensland.
We pride ourselves on being the most professional and family focused community club on the north side of Brisbane.
We are determined to be the Women’s AFL Club of choice for Female & Youth Girls Football in the inner north Brisbane area. A professional, family focused community hub dedicated and committed to educating and encouraging all females to reach their full potential on and off the field.
Development of our Women’s and Youth Girls players through structured, fun, supportive programs is our key priority. The current QWAFL Women’s Team has a number of seasoned players in addition to several embarking on their first, second and third seasons. We are welcoming of ALL new and current players who want to test their skills in this fast paced and very skilled sport of AFL and pull on the Red, White & Blue for the Wilston Grange Gorilla Gals.
Working with the Club’s Women’s Football Director and Coaches here at the Gorillas will assist us in moving towards the desired goal of taking Female Footy to the next level.
Our goal is to create a pathway from Youth Girls Footy to the AFL. (Yep! – you may have heard that the Brisbane Lions will have a Women’s team playing in the NEW NATIONAL WOMEN’S AFL LEAGUE in 2017).
Youth Girls, Under 17’s, Under 15’s, Under 13’s and Under 11’s are all on the cards for the club in 2017, so get excited!
Head Female Coach Laura Kidd takes training sessions every Wednesday & Thursday evenings from 6.00pm to 8.00pm, with games being played on Saturday afternoons.

Feel free to get in contact! We aren’t scary! And we love to introduce (and teach!) this wonderful game to newcomers as well as further develop the skills of those that already play!
